Robert H. Baumgarten is a seasoned and experienced Trial Attorney at Fredson Statmore Bitterman. He focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been injured by the negligence of others. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by less than 2% of New Jersey lawyers. Robert is licensed to practice law in federal and state courts of both New Jersey and New York. He has tried to conclusion dozens of cases with several multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements. Earlier in his career, he was appointed by several insurance companies to defend negligent defendants. This experience has given him a unique insight into representing injured clients against big and powerful insurance companies. He particularly enjoys all types of personal injury cases including construction site injuries to workers, motor vehicle accidents, and injuries caused by property defects.
After graduating with a B.A. from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, Robert went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from the New York Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude. He began his career practicing corporate and real estate law but eventually decided to focus on litigation and personal injury, as he finds it to be very rewarding. Eventually, he decided to exclusively represent injured plaintiffs and their families.
Robert has completed a training course for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in Construction Safety and Health. He is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Essex, and Union County Bar Associations.
